Percy Jackson and The Heroes Of Olympus , The Curse Of Athena, by Rick Riordan is the third book of the saga. This book takes place on The Atlantic Ocean and in Rome. The seven heroes have to reach Rome to save Nico DiAngelo, who is a son of Hades and was captured by The twin Giants that are antagonist to the god Dionisius and are planing to invade Rome with monsters. Six of them , Percy, Jason, Hazel,Piper,Frank and Leo, have to find Nico while Anabeth searches for the Athena Phantoms, stolen by the roman and now guarded by Arachne. Those seven heroes are the protagonists of the story and the Twins and Arachne are the antagonists. Percy, Jason and Piper find the twins underground, and Hazel, Frank and Leo were fighting with some people possessing monsters, Anabeth was searching for the pantheons where non of her siblings were able to. Jason And Percy Battle underground and damaged the monster releasing machine but then the place rose and became a coliseum where they continue to battle until both of the giants are defeated, after that Dionisius comes and delivers the final blow to both because the giants can only be defeated by a demigod and a god together. Leo was forced to save Frank and Hazel from the spirits and then join the other three. All of them go in search of Anabeth who was able to over smart Arachne and trapped her in her own spider web, the problem was that she broke her ankle. Frank and Jason started to take the statue to their ship and Percy was helping Anabeth, then the floor collapsed and both Percy and Anabeth fall to Tartarus. Before they fell, Percy signaled Nico to lead the others to the house of Hades and close the Doors Of Death while he and Anabeth find the other side of the doors that are located in Tartarus.
My opinion about this story is positive, the book is entertaining and teaches about mitology. The interesting parts about the writing is that it is in third person but only tells the point of view of one character each chapter, we want to see what happened in the perspective of another character. Another good thing is that it leaves you wanting to read the other one. I think people who like fiction and mitology, and also liked the Percy Jackson series would enjoy this book and the others of the series.
